Spyridon Gourdoupis (Dr. Pips) is a lyricist, producer, actor, singer, rapper, musician, columnist, pharmacist and Doctor of Structural Biology. A child of divorced parents, he grew up and studied in Patras. His basics in music come, at a young age, from classical guitar lessons with the musician Spiliopoulos Spilios as well as Byzantine music, later, with the music teacher Protopsaltis Psachos Ch. Spyros began to engage in theater acting taking part in various theatrical events in some of which he had to perform and play songs. Along with his studies he started writing songs moving mainly in hip-hop style with English lyrics. After completing his studies he received a doctoral scholarship at the CERM laboratory center in Florence under the supervision of Professor Lucia Banci in collaboration with the Universities of Utrecht, Frankfurt and Florence where he remained for three years conducting research in the early stages of drug development).Along with his doctoral studies he continued to attend acting classes at the Florence Movie Academy (FMA) under the supervision of actor, director and screenwriter Tim Daish and proceeded to produce music videos in collaboration with the director and music producer Konstantinos Karydas. In Florence, he came in contact with screenwriter, producer and actor Paul Davis-Miller, with whom they wrote a song and shot the music video in Greece in the summer of 2018, directed and produced by Konstantinos Karydas. In October 2018, he started his collaboration with Satellite Records when it ended in 2019 when he joined the TV show SURVIROR GREECE-TURKEY 2019. He is an active research scientist in KAUST, Saudi Arabia.
