He wasted little time putting his training to use booking a lead role in his very next appearance with Sundance and César-winning, Oscar nominated director Sofia Alaoui. He has since booked multiple short film lead roles as well as co-star roles in major productions while also appearing as the featured talent in a global advertisement for the new Land Rover Defender 130 alongside the renown British rock climber Kenton Cool. Derek continues to learn new skills and develop his craft in anticipation of new opportunities.
