The More About Me (MAM) section in your enCAST profile is where you can add any other information you want, especially things you think Casting Directors might want to know.

It is free text, so you can put anything that is not already somewhere else in your profile. What you write here is shown on your public profile, so write it for CDs and visitors to read.

Where is it? #

1. Login to enCAST
2. Go to EDIT PROFILE
3. Click on the EXTRA INFO tab
4. Near the bottom of that page you will see a free text box called MORE ABOUT ME.

It is plain text #

More About Me is plain text. Any formatting, and any links, email addresses or phone numbers, are removed automatically when you save. So keep it simple and write in normal sentences.

Put the basics in their own fields

Your height, weight, eye colour, hair colour, build, languages and nationality each have their own fields (in BASIC INFO and EXTRA INFO). Fill those in – they appear in a tidy panel on your profile, so you do not need to repeat them here.

Use More About Me for the things that do not have their own field, for example:

• missing the tip of my left forefinger (chainsaw accident!)
• small tattoos on my lower back and left thigh
• I trained at [drama school], I love physical comedy, I am happiest live on stage…

No contact details #

Do not put emails, phone numbers or website links here – they are removed automatically, to keep you safe. Casting Directors contact you through enCAST.

You can still say who represents you (for example "Represented in Europe by Made Up Talent Agency"), but to share an agent's details properly, connect your agent on enCAST or add their website in the LINKS section.

NB never put your personal telephone number anywhere public; keep it private.

Your More About Me is checked #

To keep enCAST professional, what you write is checked after you save it. A genuine description is fine. Please write real information about yourself, not spam or adverts.

Tip: Auto-Generate your MAM! #

If your profile already has a Mini Bio, a CV, a photo, your languages and your location, you can click Generate About Me text on the edit page. It writes a first draft from your own profile, which you then edit and make your own.

But that's not all…

Don't stop there. You can use More About Me to tell CDs and visitors anything else you think they should know – anything that will help you get work. Be creative. Use it!
