Make checking your spam folder part of your daily or weekly routine.

We recommend:

• Daily: If you’re actively applying for castings or expecting responses
• At least once a week: Even if you’re between jobs — you never know who might be trying to reach you
• Set reminders. Make it a habit. Treat it like brushing your teeth.

And when you check your spam folder:

• Scan carefully for messages from unknown senders with subject lines related to castings or your name
• Mark legitimate emails as “Not Spam” to train your provider
• Whitelist trusted addresses (casting@, submissions@, @encast.pro, etc.)

Some actors even create a separate email address just for castings, so they can monitor it more easily and avoid missing anything. If you do this, remember to check it regularly too — and set it up with a reliable email provider.
