Why Wasn't My Profile Verified?
There are a number of reasons why we are not able to verify some profiles. This page shows the most common ones.
If you are not given verification, you can check this page first, adjust your profile, and then try for verification again when you've updated your material.
Mini-Bio and More About Me Sections #
You must have both, and they should be clear and concise and useful to Casting Directors and others, giving information about yourself not available elsewhere on the profile.
Showreels #
For verification, we need to have a "standard" style showreel on the profile.
That is:
- with your name/contact shown on screen throughout (or a title card)
- with 3 or 4 scenes from different professional productions where you interact with others
- where it is obvious - in the first scene - who we are supposed to be looking at!
- about 2 - 3 minutes long
- either film or theatre (not mixed)
- in one language
Headshots #
Your first 2 headshots - and ideally all of them - must be professional quality that are acceptable to a CD.
Nationality #
You must have selected your nationality in your profile. This is needed for when we check your ID.
IMDb Credits #
For verification we need to have a good number of credits on IMDb as an actor – generally 10 or more named roles (i.e. characters who have names, not “uncredited” or “man” or “angry woman”, etc); these should include at least 3 feature length films or 3 recurring roles in a tv serials (i.e. more than 3 episodes).
We realise that some films can take a while to post all their actors on IMDb, so it may be worthwhile checking with the production to add you - or even add yourself if they give permission.
Languages #
For each language you have selected in your Languages section, you need an accompanying Voice Reel in that same langauge (or variety of language).
