Where can I find castings for my Age, Gender, Location, etc?

All currently open castings which match your profile are listed under CASTING CALLS > CASTINGS MATCHING ALERTS.

How the matching works #

A casting appears in your matched list when at least one of its roles fits your profile. Four things are checked:

• Gender. The role must be for your gender, or be open to all genders.
• Playing age. Your playing age range must overlap with the role's playing age range. Your range starts at the minimum playing age you set in your profile and covers the fifteen years above it. So if a role wants 30 to 45 and your range is 25 to 40, that is an overlap and the casting will show. Set your minimum playing age honestly: this is the youngest age you can convincingly play on camera, not your real age.
• Location. The casting must be in one of the countries you have chosen on the ALERTS tab of your profile. Castings open to all of Europe are always included.
• Languages. At least one role must be in a language listed on your profile.

Closed castings are not listed #

Your matched list only shows castings which are still accepting applications. A line at the top tells you how many matching castings have already closed, so you can see what you could have applied to. Castings can close quickly, so check back regularly and keep your casting alerts switched on.

Seeing too few castings? #

If your matched list is short or empty, your settings may be too narrow. Try the following:

• Add more countries to your alerts. Many castings accept self-tape auditions, so you do not need to live in the country to apply. If they're close to you, add your neighbouring countries by setting them on your ALERTS tab.
• Check your playing ages. If your minimum playing age is set too high or too low, you will miss roles you could play.
• Complete your languages. Make sure every language you can act in is on your profile. Most productions cast in the local language, so this makes a big difference. Read more in How languages open up more castings.
• Complete your profile. To apply you will need at least two headshots, a showreel, a CV and an MP3 voice reel in the role's language, so have these ready before the right casting appears.

When nothing matches #

If no open casting matches your profile right now, the page shows castings you could match instead: open castings which fit your profile but are outside your chosen countries, and castings in your countries which almost fit, with the reason shown on each one. Use these to see exactly what widening your settings or completing your profile would unlock.
