Should I Apply to this Casting Call?
Before you apply for an acting job, think about 4 important questions.
These will help you decide if the job is right for you.
1. Do I match what they want? #
Read the job description carefully.
Do they want someone of your age, gender, or ethnicity? Do you have the acting skills and experience they are asking for?
If you fit the requirements, that is a good sign.
2. Am I free on the dates? #
Check the shooting dates.
Are you available during that time? Do you have other plans or commitments that will make it hard to work?
If you are free, this is another green light.
3. Will this job help my career? #
Think about your future.
Will this job give you good experience or exposure? Does it match your career goals?
Sometimes a job may not pay much, but it could give you opportunities later.
4. Am I okay with the pay? #
Look at the money they are offering.
Does it cover your expenses? Are you willing to work for that amount?
If yes, then the pay works for you.
And then? #
If you can answer “yes” to all 4 questions, it’s a good idea to apply for the job.
If not, you may want to think again or look for another opportunity.
Making careful choices will help you succeed in the acting world.
