Kids on enCAST

There are special rules in law about employing children, and there is a great deal to think about when information about a child is shown online and in public. For those reasons, enCAST is a site for adult and teenage actors only.

Who can have a profile #

• If you are 18 or over, you can create and run your own profile.
• If you are 16 or 17, you can have a profile, but a parent or guardian must create it and keep control of it. The account belongs to them, and they should read the messages and handle any conversation with a production.
• If you are under 16, you cannot have a profile here, and neither can a parent or guardian create one on your behalf.

If you are under 16 #

I am afraid you will have to wait a little while before you can join us. We will still be here, and we will wait for you.

If you are looking for an actor under 16 #

You will not find one here. We suggest you contact a specialist children's agency in your area. An agency of that kind can advise you on the law where you are filming: licensing, working hours, chaperones, schooling and so on. These rules vary from country to country, and they are not something to guess at.

Ages on profiles #

We take the ages given to us in good faith, but we do act on what we are told. If you believe a profile belongs to someone under 16, please let us know. You do not need to be certain, and you will not be a nuisance for asking.
