How Casting Directors Find and Contact You

Not every role is posted as a casting call. Casting directors regularly search enCAST for actors who fit a role and contact them directly to ask if they are interested. Some of the best opportunities arrive this way, before a casting is ever published. This page explains how to make sure they can find you and reach you.

Casting directors search by age, gender, location, languages and look. You will only appear in their results if your settings allow it, so check these on your profile:

Finding you is only half the job: the casting director then needs to be able to message you.

Give them a reason to pick you #

When a casting director searches, they see many profiles at once and click the ones that look complete and professional. Make sure yours is one of them:

Keep everything up to date. A profile that looks abandoned suggests an actor who will not reply.
