James Bond follows a cryptic message from his past that leads him to uncover the shadowy criminal organisation known as Spectre, whose reach extends far deeper into global intelligence than anyone had suspected. Meanwhile, back in London, the future of the 00 programme is under political threat as a new surveillance initiative looks set to render field agents obsolete. Bond must confront a figure from his own history who sits at the heart of everything, whilst attempting to protect a woman whose late father was also entangled in Spectre's web.
