A veteran Bavarian detective and his younger, more unconventional partner are assigned to work together despite their clashing personalities and methods. The two navigate a series of criminal cases across rural Bavaria whilst their professional rivalry gradually gives way to a grudging mutual respect. The series blends light comedy with procedural crime drama, drawing much of its humour from the cultural and generational differences between the two leads.
