A Spanish veterinary inspector travels through rural landscapes collecting data on stray animals, her work intersecting with themes of death, solitude, and the quiet rhythms of life at the margins. She encounters a man who removes and disposes of animal carcasses, and the two develop a tentative connection amid the bleakness of their surroundings. The film unfolds as a slow, contemplative portrait of people whose daily labour brings them into constant proximity with mortality.
