A man inherits property on a remote Scottish island and travels there with his American wife to settle the estate. Whilst investigating the mysterious death of a local woman whose body bears strange ritualistic markings, he becomes entangled in the island's dark pagan traditions and a secretive cult with sinister designs on the couple.
