A government biosecurity expert is called in when a naval vessel encounters an alien signal that begins altering the DNA of those exposed to it. Working with a team of specialists, she races to contain the spreading infection before it transforms humanity. The series follows her task force as they hunt down and neutralise affected individuals whilst trying to uncover the true nature and purpose of the extraterrestrial threat.
