Sex Traffic
(2004)
A young Moldovan woman and her sister are lured westward with promises of legitimate work, only to find themselves trapped in a brutal sex trafficking network operating across Eastern Europe and into Britain. As the sisters endure exploitation and violence at the hands of organised criminals, a humanitarian aid worker and an investigative journalist separately begin to uncover the scale of the trade. The two storylines converge as efforts to expose and dismantle the network intensify, raising uncomfortable questions about complicity among peacekeeping forces and international institutions.
