A one-man stage adaptation brought to television, in which Antony Sher portrays Primo Levi recounting his experiences as an Italian Jewish chemist who survived internment at Auschwitz during the Second World War. Drawing directly from Levi's memoir *If This Is a Man*, the performance traces his deportation, the brutal conditions of the Nazi death camp, and his eventual liberation by Soviet forces.
