A young boy named Timm Thaler strikes a Faustian bargain with a mysterious, well-dressed stranger, trading away his infectious laugh in exchange for the ability to win every bet he places. Though he gains wealth and success through his unnatural gift, Timm finds himself consumed by a joyless existence and sets out to reclaim what he surrendered. With the help of loyal friends, he works to outsmart the devil-like figure and break free from the cursed deal.
