A French-American co-production in which a troubled artist becomes dangerously obsessed with recreating the measurements and proportions of the Marquis de Sade, believing that by assuming the physical dimensions of the notorious libertine he can unlock a hidden power. As he pursues this fixation, the boundaries between his own identity and that of de Sade begin to dissolve, drawing those around him into an increasingly disturbing psychological spiral.
