A gay man working at a suburban shopping mall becomes starstruck when faded television actress Cecilia Fromm unexpectedly shows up for a personal appearance at the store. Chaos ensues as her presence throws his carefully managed life into disarray, drawing in an eccentric ensemble of mall employees and shoppers, whilst he attempts to impress her and reassess his own ambitions.
