Little Boy
Directed by Alejandro Monteverde (2015)
A young boy in small-town America during the Second World War desperately wants his beloved father to return home from the Pacific front. Encouraged by a local priest, he embarks on a list of acts of faith and befriends an elderly Japanese man despite the community's hostility towards those of Japanese descent. The film weaves together themes of belief, prejudice, and the power of a child's devotion as the boy becomes convinced that his unwavering faith can somehow bring his father safely back.
