A German family man accompanies his pregnant wife to her hometown in Italy to meet her large, boisterous Italian family before the birth of their child. Cultural clashes and misunderstandings pile up as he struggles to navigate unfamiliar customs, food, and the overwhelming presence of his in-laws. His attempts to fit in and win over the family repeatedly backfire, leading to a series of comic mishaps across the Italian visit.
