A criminal gang operating in Paris abducts young women and smuggles them abroad to sell into prostitution. A jazz musician becomes inadvertently entangled in the racket after witnessing suspicious activity, and is drawn into a dangerous pursuit across the city as he attempts to expose the traffickers and rescue the victims.
