A woman dies after a long illness, leaving her husband and four children in their remote rural home. Strange and terrifying occurrences begin to plague the family, with the eldest daughter increasingly convinced that the mother's spirit has returned in a malevolent form. As the haunting intensifies, dark secrets about a cult and a sinister bargain made long ago begin to surface, putting all of the children in mortal danger.
