Land of Mine

Following Germany's defeat in the Second World War, a group of young German prisoners of war are forced by the Danish military to clear thousands of buried land mines from the beaches of western Denmark using only their bare hands. Under the supervision of a hardened Danish sergeant who initially regards them with contempt, the teenage soldiers work under constant threat of death or dismemberment. As the gruelling and lethal task takes its toll, the sergeant begins to see his charges as the frightened boys they truly are rather than the enemy he despises.
