A gunman seizes control of a Copenhagen Metro train and takes its passengers hostage deep underground, demanding that the Danish government meet his political conditions. As police negotiate from above, the trapped commuters — strangers forced into desperate proximity — form uneasy alliances and rivalries while secrets about the attacker's motives gradually surface. The crisis tests both the authorities handling the standoff and the individuals struggling to survive it.
