Two young Berlin-based hackers in the 1990s develop a pioneering system for visualising the Earth from satellite data, only to see their invention seemingly absorbed into what becomes Google Earth. Decades later, they launch a legal battle against Google, claiming the tech giant stole their intellectual property. The series alternates between the idealistic early days of their project and the tense courtroom drama of the present-day lawsuit.
