Blueberry Hill

Directed by Robbe De Hert (1989)

A teenage boy growing up in 1950s Belgium becomes obsessed with American rock and roll music, particularly the songs of Fats Domino, as he navigates adolescence, family tensions, and first love. His passion for this new cultural phenomenon sets him apart from the conservative world around him, and he finds both freedom and turmoil in the music and the changes it represents. The story unfolds as a nostalgic coming-of-age portrait of a generation on the cusp of social transformation.
