A conservative, churchgoing woman travels to San Francisco after her son dies, to sort out his affairs and take over the struggling drag bar he owned. As she immerses herself in the world of drag performers who were close to her son, she begins to reassess her values and form genuine bonds with his found family. The experience ultimately transforms both her outlook and the lives of those around her.
