A small international team overwinters at a remote Antarctic research station, but when the skeleton crew that stayed through the brutal season is found mostly dead or missing upon the return of the main team, a sole survivor becomes the prime suspect. Doctor Arthur Wilde, who remained behind, insists something far more sinister occurred during the long polar night, and a tense investigation unfolds as the truth about what happened is slowly revealed. The series blends psychological thriller and horror elements as paranoia, isolation, and an unknown threat test the survivors.
