A corrupt Los Angeles police detective leads an elite strike team that operates outside the law, brutalising suspects and skimming money from drug dealers whilst managing to keep Internal Affairs at bay. His methods are ruthlessly effective at reducing crime, but his team's increasingly dangerous secrets threaten to unravel everything. The series follows the moral compromises of those around him, including colleagues who must decide how far they are willing to look the other way.
