The Man Who Killed Don Quijote
Directed by Terry Gilliam
A jaded advertising director filming a commercial in Spain finds himself inexplicably pulled into a surreal adventure when an elderly Spanish shoemaker, who once appeared in the director's student film, now genuinely believes himself to be Don Quixote. The two become entangled in a series of chaotic misadventures blurring the boundaries between fantasy and reality, as the old man insists on treating his companion as Sancho Panza. The film is as much about obsession and creative delusion as it is a picaresque journey through the Spanish countryside.
