A long-running Dutch soap opera following the intertwined lives of residents and families in the fictional town of Meerdijk, centring on the wealthy Alberts family and their various neighbours, friends and rivals. The series tracks romantic relationships, business conflicts, personal crises and moral dilemmas across generations of characters. New storylines and cast members are introduced regularly, whilst some characters have remained fixtures of the show for decades.
