A medical drama series following Conrad Hawkins, an idealistic but unconventional young doctor navigating the realities of a modern American hospital, where he clashes with his more cynical senior colleague Dr. Randolph Bell over questions of patient care and institutional corruption. Conrad mentors a newly qualified doctor whilst also pursuing a complicated romantic relationship with a nurse. The show explores themes of medical ethics, corporate healthcare pressures, and the gap between the ideals doctors hold and the compromises the system demands of them.
