A drama series set in the late 1960s at a prominent American news magazine, where female researchers begin to push back against a workplace culture that denies them the opportunity to work as journalists despite doing much of the same intellectual labour as their male colleagues. Inspired by a real legal case, the show follows a group of women as they organise collectively and seek to challenge the systemic discrimination that has kept them in subordinate roles. Personal and professional tensions mount as the women navigate relationships, ambition, and the broader social upheaval of the era.
