A superstitious businessman becomes convinced that a series of misfortunes in his life are caused by a curse brought on by one of his employees, and sets about trying to dismiss the person he believes responsible. His attempts to rid himself of the supposed jinx lead to a series of comic misunderstandings and escalating chaos, as his irrational beliefs clash with the realities of modern working life.
