A drama series following the staff and leadership of a struggling secondary school in England as they navigate the pressures of inspections, budget cuts, and the competing demands of pupils, parents, and bureaucracy. The headteacher, played by Martine McCutcheon, attempts to hold the institution together whilst confronting both professional obstacles and personal challenges. The series explores themes of ambition, duty, and the human cost of a broken education system.
