A documentary series following linguist and researcher Trent Walker as he investigates a largely forgotten form of Buddhist sacred poetry sung in an ancient Mon-Khmer language. The series explores how Walker works with elderly monks and villagers in Southeast Asia to recover and preserve these fragile oral traditions before they disappear entirely.
