A prosperous Italian family law firm becomes the setting for professional and personal tensions when the matriarch's three daughters must navigate both their turbulent caseloads and their complicated private lives. Each sister grapples with her own relationships and ambitions whilst working alongside their formidable mother, whose iron grip on the practice creates as much conflict at home as it does in the courtroom. The series weaves together the human dramas of the firm's clients with the unravelling and rebuilding of the Battaglia family itself.
