The Pod Generation

A couple in a near-future world navigate the growing availability of artificial womb technology, which allows women to outsource pregnancy to detachable pods. When the wife eagerly embraces the opportunity, her botanist husband remains deeply uneasy about the commercialisation of reproduction and what it means for their relationship with nature and each other. The film uses their differing perspectives to explore questions about technology, parenthood, and what it means to be human.
