A German television drama reconstructing the catastrophic 1988 airshow disaster at Ramstein Air Base, in which a mid-air collision between Italian military jets sent burning wreckage into a crowd of spectators, killing dozens and injuring hundreds more. The film follows both the survivors and rescue workers grappling with the immediate aftermath, whilst also examining the bureaucratic and political failures that contributed to the tragedy. Personal stories of grief, guilt, and resilience are woven together against the backdrop of a nation confronting questions of accountability.
