A dramatised account of the life and career of Alfred Herrhausen, the powerful Deutsche Bank chief executive who wielded considerable influence over German finance and politics in the 1980s. The film explores his ambitious vision for reshaping global banking and his controversial advocacy for third-world debt relief, whilst also tracing the circumstances that made him a target. His story culminates in his assassination by the Red Army Faction in 1989, an event that shook the German establishment.
