A Swedish detective, Irene Huss, investigates a series of arson attacks in Gothenburg that appear to be connected to organised crime. As the fires claim lives and the investigation deepens, Irene must balance the dangers of the case with the pressures of her personal and family life. The trail leads her into increasingly murky territory involving those who would rather the truth stayed buried.
