A documentary examining the final hours of actor River Phoenix, who collapsed and died outside a Hollywood nightclub in 1993 at the age of twenty-three. The film draws on forensic evidence, witness accounts and expert testimony to reconstruct the events leading up to his death from a drug overdose. It considers the circumstances surrounding his final night and reflects on the tragic loss of one of his generation's most promising young talents.
