Le Refuge
Directed by Francois Ozon
A young woman discovers she is pregnant shortly after her boyfriend dies of a drug overdose, and retreats to a secluded house in the south of France to come to terms with her grief and her situation. There she is joined by the dead man's gay brother, and the two form an unexpected bond as they each navigate their own forms of loss and longing. The film is a quiet, contemplative study of mourning, identity, and the tentative connections people forge in the aftermath of tragedy.
