A group of young political staffers and researchers navigate the cutthroat world of Westminster, balancing personal ambitions with loyalty to their respective parties. The series follows characters working for both Labour and Conservative MPs as they forge unlikely friendships and romantic entanglements across party lines. Their idealism is steadily eroded by the realities of political life, including scandal, compromise, and betrayal.
