A teenage Palestinian boy living in Berlin forms an unlikely friendship with an elderly Jewish Holocaust survivor after being caught trying to break into the old man's flat. Their bond deepens as both navigate questions of identity, prejudice and loss, and the old man gradually shares the weight of his past with his young companion. The relationship forces both of them to confront their assumptions about the other's people and history.
