Good Vibrations
Directed by Barros D'Sa
A passionate Belfast record shop owner becomes a pivotal figure in the punk and new wave scene of the 1970s and 80s, championing local musicians and releasing records on his independent label despite the backdrop of the Troubles. His fierce dedication to music as a force for joy and connection puts strain on his personal relationships and family life. The film is based on the real story of Terri Hooley, whose Good Vibrations shop on Great Victoria Street became a cultural landmark in the city.
