A kind-hearted but hapless French man accidentally causes a series of misfortunes for a stranger after trying to do him a good turn, setting off a chain of comic consequences. The harder he tries to make amends, the worse the situation becomes, drawing both men into an escalating spiral of mishaps and misunderstandings.
