Medieval
(2022)
A Czech historical epic centring on the real-life medieval mercenary and military commander Jan Žižka, tracing his early career as he becomes entangled in a power struggle between European royal factions over the Bohemian crown. Commissioned by Lord Boresh to kidnap a noblewoman named Katherine in order to destabilise the ambitions of a corrupt lord, Žižka finds himself drawn into a broader conflict that will shape the future of the region. The film follows his transformation from hired sword to principled leader as he fights both on and off the battlefield.
