Incredible Violence
Directed by G. Patrick Condon
A struggling filmmaker, unable to afford professional actors, locks a group of people in a house and tells them they are auditioning for a horror film — but the deaths that follow are entirely real. The cast gradually realise that their director intends to use genuine footage of their murders as the centrepiece of his low-budget production. The film blurs the line between meta-commentary on independent filmmaking and outright slasher horror, as the trapped performers attempt to survive their increasingly unhinged auteur.
